The Canadian Branch of the ELD offers Canadian Directors'
and Officers' Insured Entity and Employment Practices Liability Insurance to for-profit and
non-profit institutions that are domiciled in Canada. This D&O coverage, also referred to as ExecPro
Management and Corporate Liability Protection, is available in all Canadian provinces and the
Northwest, Nunavut and Yukon Territories.
The Canadian Branch of the ELD will underwrite a broad
spectrum of risk classifications including privately held, publicly traded firms and "difficult to place"
companies, which may include institutions listed on one of the United States stock exchanges.
Our D&O coverage can offer up to $25 million in limits on a primary or excess basis. Limits, premiums,
and retentions are available in U.S. or Canadian dollars.
D&O coverage benefits include:
- Entity coverage for securities claims whether traded on Canadian,
U.S., or other public securities exchanges
- Employment Practices Liability coverage for Insured Persons
- Coverage for derivative pollution claims
- Advancement of defense costs
- "Pay on behalf of" wording
